About Mad Brain
Mad Brain is a custom software development studio led by Asraf Porag. A focused team of senior developers across full-stack, AI, and infrastructure.
We've shipped 100+ projects across 15+ countries over 12+ years. Custom databases, admin dashboards, SaaS products, AI workflows — software that actually does the job.
We're deliberately selective about projects. The work we take on, we do properly. No hand-offs to juniors. No outsourcing. No surprises.

Founder & Lead Engineer
Dhaka, Bangladesh
Twelve-plus years building software for clients across 15+ countries. 100+ shipped projects covering custom databases, admin dashboards, SaaS products, web scraping pipelines, and AI workflows.
Started writing code for global clients in the early 2010s. Spent a decade learning what breaks in production, what holds up over years, and what clients actually need versus what they ask for.
12+ years building custom software for global clients. Specializes in databases, SaaS architecture, and AI integration.
Built Mad Brain to focus on the work that compounds: long partnerships with serious teams, software that doesn't need to be rebuilt every eighteen months, and engineering decisions made by people who've seen the consequences before.
On every Mad Brain project, Asraf is in the code — not just on the kickoff call.
Co-Founder & CTO
A decade of hands-on development across the full stack. Started building web applications in 2014, shifted focus to Laravel and React by 2016, never looked back. Led engineering teams at three different agencies before co-founding Mad Brain. Has personally reviewed over 5,000 pull requests and debugged production incidents across time zones. Believes great software comes from small teams, tight feedback loops, and saying 'no' to the right features. Specializes in turning vague requirements into shippable products. Laravel expert, React enthusiast, and database optimizer. Has built everything from real-time dashboards to batch processing systems handling millions of records. At Mad Brain, Brinta owns technical delivery — code reviews, system architecture, and making sure every project leaves the nest in better shape than it arrived.

What we believe
Twelve years of building software for real teams shapes how we work. Here's what we've learned.
Postgres, Next.js, plain TypeScript — chosen because they age well, not because they trend. New frameworks come and go. Documented stacks survive.
Most projects we take on go live in 6–12 weeks. A six-month roadmap is usually a sign no one wants to make decisions yet.
When a business runs on twelve interlinked Excel files, the problem isn't the spreadsheets. It's that nobody built the system the work actually needs.
Written briefs, recorded walkthroughs, and decision logs scale across time zones. Calls happen when they help, not as a default.
One-off transactions don't make either side better. We'd rather work with five teams for ten years than fifty teams for one.
No junior labor handed off behind the scenes. The person on the kickoff call is the person writing your code.
Where we work from
Home base is Dhaka, Bangladesh. Clients are spread across the US, UK, EU, and Australia. Our day picks up around the time the US wraps theirs.
Async-friendly by default. Daily written updates, recorded walkthroughs, and clean documentation. Calls happen when they help, not as a default. US evenings overlap cleanly with our mornings, which means same-day responses without anyone keeping odd hours.
We've worked across 15+ countries. Banking holidays in two hemispheres. Timezone math is muscle memory at this point.

The stack we lean on
We pick tools by how they age, not how they trend. The stack below covers most of what we ship — we adapt to yours when it makes sense.
